Background and Community Leadership
Amy earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law, where she served as President of the Moot Court Board and was Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, originally founded by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She also holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Creighton University.
Before co-founding Bales & Bales, P.A., Amy worked as an associate at Wilson Elser in Newark, New Jersey and clerked for the Hon. Edwin H. Stern in the New Jersey Appellate Division. She also gained entertainment law experience during her internship at Sony Music in New York City.
Amy served on the Board of Directors of Beaux Arts at the Lowe Art Museum from 2015–2021 and was honored to be its President during the 2017–2018 term. She continues to support the Coral Gables arts and business communities with pride.
